The St. Luke’s Young Adults group is a community of people in their 20s and 30s who meet in-person and online to participate in social and spiritual events as well as service projects. This group was created to foster a fellowship among young adults and to make our community a better place!
In the past they have held social events including game nights, paint nights, trivia nights, and group dinners. Other social events that the group has coordinates include a group campfire event (where Matt roasted his first s’more) and a group barbeque! They have participated in seasonal events including attending the annual tree lighting in Keswick Village and traveling as a group to see the holiday lights (and enjoy some s’mores and hot chocolate) at Shady Brook Farm in Bucks County!
They participate in many service projects in our community! They gather together as a group several times to cook and assemble meal trays for Caring for Friends! They have bake sales to raise money for our sister parish in Haiti! They visit a local retirement home (prior to COVID) and play Bingo with the seniors! They help in the kitchen at Face to Face in Germantown! The group coordinates and sponsors clothing and food collections to benefit the St. Vincent De Paul Society!
The group also holds spiritual events several times a month on Zoom! They hold a Bible Study event twice a month and a monthly Pro-Life Rosary! The discussions in the Bible Study are always beneficial and focus on applying chapters of the Bible to real-life experiences! The Pro-Life Rosary is a wonderful way to use the power of prayer to advocate for both unborn children and their mothers! Note from Matt Smith...
Creating this group has truly been a blessing in my life and I feel blessed to have met the exceptional young adults in this group! If you are interested in checking out our group, please let me know! We are always looking for new members!
